Alec is one of those special dogs that comes along only occasionally. He has that rare combination of breed type as well as soundness. His side gait is so balanced, with lovely front extension and great drive in the rear. We are so impressed with his length of neck - which is indicative of very correct shoulder lay on and lay back. His hocks going away are like pistons, driving a powerful rear.
In addition to being so sound, he also has wonderful bone, and a masculine, broad head with proper truncation of the muzzle. He has his mother’s fantastic coat, with amazing texture.
On top of all this, he is a delight to live with. He is a quiet dog, but not shy in the least, in fact he knows no strangers and loves everyone he meets. He happily sits on his grooming table at shows while we fluff on him, giving us kisses. He is a magnet for kids, who always give him a big hug.
Alec is truly a special boy and we are so proud of his accomplishments in the ring. We are sure that his Specials career will mirror his father Luciano, who retired from the show ring as the # 2 sheepdog in the country.
